I'm a Jamaican native living in Orlando Florida and I hold a BFA in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design with over 10 years Design Experience.
Growing up in Jamaica, my family often vacationed at various resorts and villas along the northern coast of the island. I was always in awe of the beautiful designs each location had and the peace that it brought me each time we visited. So from an early age I knew Interior Design was the path I wanted to take and the rest was history.

After numerous years of working for both Architecture and Design firms doing Multifamily and Commercial Interior Design across the US, the tug on my heart to start a residential design studio began to grow and so in 2019 I took the leap of faith and began Island Home Interiors. A studio that spoke to the coastal vernacular of design and creates spaces that transcends trends.
A clean Coastal Modern Style
Through the use of natural light, soft tones, natural textures and a clean aesthetic the coastal modern style is meant to evoke the breeziness of the beach. It embraces casual furnishings and raw woods, neutral hues and natural textures to create a cozy interior. Light wood tones or weathered finishes are a common staple.

Located in Lake Nona Florida, Joelle loves spending time with her husband Andrew and her 2 beautiful children Genesis and Noah.

I can be quite sentimental. So I’m constantly sorting through my kids' outgrown things, looking for my next shadow box/ diy project.

My family is my everything. On my days off you can find me at the beach collecting seashells with my daughter.

Also, I am a homebody, so on my days off you can find me at home with a glass of rose’ and spending time with my family playing yard games or watching Romcoms.
